Itinerary

Day 1Johannesberg to Kruger

Leaving the city of Johannesburg behind us we make our way east through the coalfields of Mpumalanga. Our journey today follows in the footsteps of the old trade-routes to the Low veld and the Kruger National Park. We check into campsite and enjoy a sunset drive.

Day 2Panorama Tour

This morning after an early breakfast your guide will collect you for an exciting day on the Panorama Route where we will visit God’s Window, Bourke’s Luck Potholes and the Three Rondavels. The escapement divides the temperate highlands of South Africa from the much warmer low land plains . We return to camp in the evening to enjoy a lovely local dinner.

Day 3Kruger National Park

Rising early this morning we enter the Kruger National Park to enjoy a morning of game viewing. The abundance of wildlife presents us with opportunities for excellent sightings, while the Kruger is also home to the famed members of Africa’s Big-5. The game drive offers the excitement of experiencing the park from an open-sided 4×4 vehicle. After the morning drive we head on back for breakfast. After breakfast we enjoy a scenic boat ride at the blyde river canyon.

Day 4Eswatini

After breakfast we check-out and head to Eswatini. Highlights include the candle/glass factory and a cultural tour. Hotel stay will be at the George or similar.

Day 5St Lucia, Wetlands

We bid farewell to Eswatini and re-enter South Africa, continuing south into the reaches of Zululand, once the realm of the mighty King Shaka who united the Zulu clans.

Day 6Hluhluwe – Umfolozi Game Reserve

We set out early this morning for a game drive in the nearby Hluhulwe-Imfolozi Game Reserve, one of the last strongholds of the endangered rhinoceros. While rhinoceros are the most famous of the parks inhabitants, the park also provides a home to many other species, including the Big-5 that we all hope to see. Returning to our lodging for a siesta, we freshen up for an afternoon boat cruise on St Lucia estuary.

Day 7Durban

This morning we will depart St Lucia and make our way to the city of Durban, South Africas playground. After checkin we head on a city tour and then visit the world famous stadium and get on a segway tour of the beach promenade.

Day 8Tour end

Your tour has come to an end. We check out and shuttle you to the airport.
